A series of facilitators’ training for the Philippine partners was conducted during the first and second quarters. This was facilitated and conducted by Mr. Godofredo B. Limotlimot, Regional Coodinator of the Project here in the Philippine Region. The training aimed to guide members of the respective NGOs on the facilitation skills in the application of NGO-IDEAs tools in PO and CBO levels.

At the beginning of the 3rd quarter July 1, 2010, a Regional Mid-Year Sharing was productively conducted at Galilea Center for Education and Development in the island of Bohol. The activity served as a venue for the partners to share their experiences in using the monitoring tools and contribute concrete examples from their experiences in the actual use of the tools which can be incorporated into the improvement of the toolbox. Each organization joining the sharing prepared a visual exhibit containing information on 1)”What was planned from November 2009 - June 2010”, 2)”What Actually Happened” and 3)” Actions Still to be Taken”. Exhibits were enhanced by photos of the activities on NGO-IDEAs Tools conducted by the individual partner organization.

The Philippine Regional Mid-Year Sharing was attended by the German Project Leadership in Germany, Mr. Bernward Causemann, the Regional Coordinator in the Philippines, NGO-IDEAs II Regional Office – Philippines, Philippine NGO partners namely Gitib Inc. My new work assignment has brought me to so many different places in the Visayas and Mindanao and allowed me to meet so many people of numerous economic, political, cultural and religious backgrounds. Also different modes of transportation traversing various road and weather conditions brought me to these places.

This is the world of JPIC-IDC Inc. - reaching many people from different places, bringing the message of love through our numerous social projects. As we begin a new decade of dedicated service, we bank on the first decade JPIC-IDC has just crossed where it boasts of enormous accomplishments serving different communities. We proudly recall our big housing projects in different areas, our work with trafficked women, early childhood education in Agusan, work with street children, scholarship programs and many others. Banking on these achievements, we look forward to the next decade with similar, if not, surpassing records to lift people out of poverty.

Currently, JPIC-IDC is implementing close to 30 projects in various areas of operations in different magnitude and costs. With its far reaching dedication and vision, JPIC-IDC continues to effect change and keep hope alive in the hearts of many. All these are made possible through the help of many benefactors, donors and collaborators both here in the Philippines and abroad. Our gratitude to all of you. We will reciprocate your kindness and generosity with our unabated resolve to serve!
