JPIC-IDC, Inc. is a faith-based Non-Government Organization (NGO), registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC Reg. No. C200100503) under Philippine laws. The organization started with the efforts of SVD priests in strong partnership with Karl Kuebel Stiftung (KKS) of Germany. Its direction-setting body, the Board of Directors (BOD), is composed of 7 persons representing varied sectors from the church, academe and private practice.

For the past seven years, the organization had been implementing more than 15 projects in the areas of education, economic development, human and community development, and advocacy for women and children.

There are currently 40 personnel and staffs working in the different programs. Their varied expertise and experiences in development work across the Visayas and Mindanao allow the organization to enjoy the trust of more than 12 partner agencies abroad. JPIC-IDC, Inc. boasts of its strategy as being fully present  with its staff in  some of the marginalized and depressed areas of Metro Cebu and Mindanao, being our partner groups and communities the garbage collectors (dumpsites settlers), informal settlers, street children, prostituted women, fisher folks and farmers.

JPIC-IDC, Inc. believes in the wholistic development of persons in their communities for them to be able to carve the kind of development they can pursue.

Founded in 1999 by a group of  catholic lay leaders,  Divine Word Missionaries (SVD) and Holy Spirit Sisters (SspS).
